Article

Shifting the funding angle for family offices, Institutional donors, PE/VC and Social Impact investors

This article enlightens various regular funding types and criteria available for emerging market development and ‘the development sector’. It clarifies that these don’t match for integrative TAAS solutions as developed by TRINCO and that such funding represent single-product thinking and traditional attitudes on profit versus society development. The article argues that regular funds can work much more effectively if pre-stage funding of TRINCO’s unique integrative approach is created for the next stage, in addition to the private investments TRINCO made since 2015 to develop it’s approach.

Finally, it quantifies the size of a small pre-investment (development stage of 1,5 years), necessary to generate a regular funding portfolio of over € 100 mln per region. And that can this portfolio performs more effectively during a 6 years execution stage on regional development. Hence PFPI (public/private funding performance improvement) is rational in conjunction with the systemic approach of TRINCO, leapfrogging and accelerating SDG-development by improving speed of trust over election-timelines.

The underpinnings of the approach of TRINCO Development: the Resource Based View.

TRINCO Development developed it’s model for integrative transformation by combining practice and theory based knowledge. In earlier days it’s founder studied at the international University of Nyenrode (Amsterdam region, in conjunction with  Cape Towns business school and Chicago’s North Western Kellogg university). He studies the resource based view as a distinctive model for creating competitive edge for businesses.

Sustainable competitive advantage is partially derived from the vision that tangible and intangible resources are combined. In short: how to create alignment and synergy in applying financial and human resources.

For most organisations, this notion is a well understood combination, that nobody will deem to be irrelevant. But theory and practice are different and which human factors does a company, a sector, a lobby unit or governmental body actually take into account when trying to drive transformation? Why so many mergers and coalition break down?

It is the thorough study of human and sociological behaviour in organisations, in a variety of interest settings and in positive coalitions, that drive the core competences that TRINCO seeks to apply in all her African endeavors.

2015-2017

TRINCO Development invested in various pro-bono advisory activities in Kenya.

In earlier years as of 2015, TRINCO invested in various international exploration trips to Middle-Eastern countries like Oman, Qatar, UAE and Asia (Singapore and Thailand), gave various keynote presentations on international conferences there, participated in trade missions to Iran and Kenya, did market entry research for Eastern Europe for Indian clients, and executed advisory sessions in Eastern Europe, i.e. Bulgarias minister of health & education through the embassy of the Netherlands. In addition various pro-bono advisory activities were executed in Kenya in the field of finance, watermanagement and health supply chain constraints.

After that TRINCO development decided to focus on African market & society development.
